For over two decades, the people of Bristol Bay lived under the threat of the toxic Pebble Mine. If built, it would devastate one of the world’s most balanced watersheds home to historic salmon runs.
We joined together with the Stop Pebble Mine coalition to create a variety of content with the intent to pressure leaders in D.C. to take action. Our efforts paid off and in 2023 the Biden Administration along with the EPA officially announced that they would use the 404(c) Clean Water Act as precedent to veto the mine.
